The working process is that the centrifuge feeding pump transfer the slurry to decanter centrifuge, at the same time, the proper chemicals are mixed and prepared in the PAM Three Tank Automatic Powder Polymer Mixing System, and the chemical dosing pump transfer the chemicals to decanter centrifuge, too. The slurry and chemicals are mixing in the decanter centrifuge feed tube, then the decanter centrifuge separate the solids and water in the screw. The longer of the centrifuge bowl length, the longer time of the fluids stay in the screw, so the separation performance is better to get clear water and drier solids. The water will be reused to save cost for the user, the waste will be reused a lot and save the waste disposal cost.
The decanter centrifuge features are we below:


1) The bowl material is made of duplex stainless steel 2304 by centrifugal casting.
2) The screw propeller is protected by tungsten carbide tiles with stellite backing plates for longer working life
3) The liquid discharge port and solids discharge port are all protected by tungsten carbide wear liners which is interchangeable.
4) The pond depth is adjustable and large G force range, the max G force is 4500rpm, the working bowl speed is 0~3800rpm.
The bowl frame is made of carbon steel, coated with heavy duty corrosion resistant (Ball lasting to SA.2.5 Grade, Zinc rich Heavy Duty epoxy primer 50um, Epoxy micaceous iron oxide intermediate 100 um, Polyurethane topcoat finishing 80um)
5) VFD control panel drived with main motor , back drive motor and feed pump motor.

2 sets of drilling waste management system to Africa

2 sets of drilling waste management system are shipped to Africa for oil based drilling cuttings treatment.


The screw conveyor as drilling waste transfer system to transfer the oil based drilling cuttings to vertical cuttings dryer top open port. The working principal of the vertical G dryer is that the screen basket traps wet solids and accelerates up to 900rpm with max 420G. The fluids passed through screen basket opening, the solids extracted by flights which is installed on the cone, the cone rotate slower than the bowl. The flights are protected by tungsten carbide alloy for abrasion resistance, the gap between the screen basket and bowl for proper operation. The screen basket opening with option as 0.35mm, 0.5mm, 0.25mm, the most popular screen opening is 0.5mm, the smaller screen opening will be very easily blocked. So the internal high pressure air knife is used to flush the screen basket regularly. The independent oil lubrication system is used to lubricate the bearing system via oil pump, from top to bottom flow back to oil tank via oil return pipe.


The components including flights, rotor, screen basket, bell jar, 55KW main motor, control panel, lubrication system, upper shell, feeding hopper, filter unit, cushion, mud block plate, distribution plate, solids discharge trough, oil return pipe, motor pulley with belt, oil tank, etc.


The high speed decanter centrifuge and VFD decanter centrifuge is installed on the telescopic skid to separate fine solids from the drilling fluids, the treated fluids can be recovery and reused to prepare new drilling fluids, the customer can save money through drilling waste disposal cost reduction, drilling fluids recovery, waste transportation cost reduction. Recently one batch of centrifugal pump and jet mud mixers are ready for shipment to our international clients. Hydrovac Slurry Treating System manufacturer

As one of GN solids liquid separation system, GN Hydrovac Slurry Treating System’s working principal is also solids and liquid separation. The main purpose is to get waste water recovered and dry solids collection, it can save cost for the customer by less water consumption, less waste disposal cost and earn more money from project. We have over 11 units of Hydrovac Slurry Treating System working in USA and Canada, the technical specs is more or less similar as below:

  1. 1 sets of slurry collection hopper system, the general treatment capability for this hydro vac slurry treating system is to treat about 30 ~ 40 hydro vac truck loading every day. The special designed large hopper can accept slurry from 2 hydro vac truck at the same time, it will improve the treating efficiency of the whole system. The submersible slurry pump suck the slurry from collection hopper to coarse solids separation shale shaker.
  2. 1 set of coarse solids separation unit, the coarse solids are separated out by 1mm size opening shaker screen, to protect the equipments in the next step and extend longer working life, the fluids drop into the catching tank. Another submersible slurry pump transfer the fluids to fine solids separation unit.

  4. 1 set of decanter centrifuge package with chemical dosing unit, the decanter centrifuge mechanical separation cut point is 2~ 5 microns, by chemical jetting, the ultra fine solids can be separated out up to 1 microns, so the water recovery will be more clear, which can be reused or send to waste water treatment facility.

Recently we got repeat order for big bowl decanter centrifuge for TBM slurry dewatering in Singapore. The full package dewatering system with specification is as below:

Vertical cuttings dryer is the core equipment for drilling waste management system, it is mainly used for oil based drilling cuttings treatment. Normally we use screw pump as ideal feeding pump of decanter centrifuge, sometimes due to space limit and other consideration, we also use centrifugal pump and submersible slurry pump as centrifuge feeding pump, compare with screw pump, the slurry pump ’s flow rate can not be controlled by adjust the pump motor frequency, it can be adjusted by valves and installed a flow meter on the pump outlet, but the maintenance cost is cheaper, especially when solids content is very high, so the impeller and pump casing material should more abrasion resistance material.


Vacuum pump is used to transfer different types sludge, like industrial waste sludge, oil sludge, drilling cuttings, drilling fluids, etc.

CBM mud recycling system for Coal Exploration Company

Recently GN solids control shipped one set of CBM mud recycling system for coal exploration company. The technical configuration is as below:


1) Linear motion shale shaker 2 units: 3 panel shale shaker GNZS703F installed with 3pcs composite material frame shaker screens, we can produce API 20 to API 325 comply with API RP13C standard. Possum belly for the 2 units of shale shakers to collect sludge from drilling rig and distributor to 2 units shale shaker buffer box evenly. Each shale shaker is drived by 2 ea of Italy Oil brand vibration motors, GN own produced explosion proof starter is installed on the shale shaker. The function is to separate coarse solids from the coal slurry.


2) Desander with mini bottom shaker and centrifugal pump, 1ea of 10 inch desander cone installed on top of bottom shale shaker, the separation cut point is 45 microns
3) Desilter with mini bottom shaker and centrifugal pump, 8ea of 4 inch desilter cone installed on top of bottom shale shaker, the separation cut point is 20 microns


4) Mud tank system with tank accessories, as mud agitator, mud gun, walkway, handrails, stairs, pipelines, man hole, electric control system, clean gate, high position valves, we will design customized tank dimension according to the required capacity and installed equipments
5) Jet mud mixer, which is composed of mixing hopper, mixing pump, pipelines, valves and control panel on one skid.

One unit of solids liquid separation system and one decanter centrifuge package to Europe client. The solids removal unit can be widely used for mining core drilling waste water treatment. The separation cut point is 2~5 microns, the recycled water can be re-used for drilling, the user will save drilling cost, less water consumption, less waste produced.


The submersible slurry pump is picking up to transfer the waste sludge from pit to the solids liquid separation system shale shaker. The shale shaker is used to separate big solids and reduce solids content, the GNLW223-VFD decanter centrifuge is to separate fine solids bigger than 2 microns, the screw pump as feeding pump of the VFD decanter centrifuge, the flow rate can be adjusted by changing the frequency of the pump motor, it will be controlled by the decanter centrifuge VFD control panel. All of these equipments are installed on top of the mud tank with tank accessories.


The decanter centrifuge package GNLW224E is extra required, the discharged water is more clear since the bowl length is longer than GNLW223 series decanter centrifuge. Both of the bowl diameter is 9 inch ( 220mm), the bowl length of 223 series is 670mm, the bowl length of 224 series is 924mm, the ratio of 223 series is 3, the ratio of 224 centrifuge is 4.2, the fluids can be treated better and get more clear water.
