Dewatering unit to Africa

Recently GN solids control shipped one unit of dewatering unit to Africa, the client already bought dewatering centrifuge from GN before, he needs to use chemical dosing unit for new projects, considering the hot temperature weather in Africa, we put the dewatering unit into standard container for convenient transportation and water/ sun proof, the container with windows, doors, air conditioner, lightings. The dewatering unit including three tank automatical powder polymer mixing system and Coagulant mixing tank, the user can use either flocculants or coagulant for different purpose.

The working process is as below:
The powder chemicals are adding into the hopper for mixing and aging, the 3 tanks ensure the continuous operation, the chemical dosing pump transfer the mixed chemicals to centrifuge feed tube, and mixed in the Static mixer before feeding to the dewatering centrifuge feed tube. The most popular model is GNLW363C-VFD, the bowl diameter is 14 inch, the bowl length is 50 inch, the max speed is 3900rpm, the normal working speed is 3200rpm, the max G force is 3063G, the typical G force is 0~2062G, the mechanical separation cut point is 2~5 microns, by working with dewatering unit, the separation cut point is up to 1 microns, most of the ultra fine solids can be separated out, the customer can get pure water and drier solids for final disposal.


The VFD control panel drive the main motor, back drive motor and pump motor to set bowl speed and differential speed, the pump speed can be also adjusted to adjust the feed flow. The PLC smart control and HMI interface ensured the automatically operation.

Drilling cuttings transfer system manufacturer in China

As one of the professional manufacturer of solids control equipments and drilling waste management system in China, GN solids control also design and produce drilling cuttings transfer system based on different drilling rig floor plan. Basically the way to transfer drilling waste including screw conveyor system, cuttings vacuum pump and cuttings transfer pump.
1) Screw conveyor system: it is widely used to collect and transfer drilling waste from solids control equipments to drilling waste management system, but it is also limited when liquid moisture is very high, it is easily leakage and flow back, and the space requirement is too big, especially for offshore rig, when space is very limited, and power consumption is higher compared with other ways. But it is more popular way right now. There are 2 installation ways, the first one is to use the excavator to dump the drilling waste to the collection hopper of the screw conveyor when there is a waste pit, then the screw conveyor transfer the drilling waste to vertical cuttings dryer ( for oil based drilling waste) or high G drying shaker( for water based drilling cuttings). The second installation way is that there is no waste pit at rig site, the screw convetor ( horizontally installed) to collect the drilling waste from shale shaker, desander, desilter, then a slantly installed screw conveyor to transfer them to the drilling waste management system.
2) Vacuum pump can be used to transfer drilling cuttings from waste pit to screw conveyor collection hopper, or transfer to vertical cuttings dryer directly, an air compressor is required to supply air to operate the vacuum pump, since the required air compressor model is very big, which limited the utilization of the vacuum pump, but the space required is small.
3) Cuttings transfer pump is a new pump introduced for cuttings transfer when space is very limited. For more information, pls contact with GN solids control.

Decanter centrifuge for power plant waste water treatment project

GN decanter centrifuge is used for a waste water treatment project in power plant in Taiwan. Total 5 units of GNLW454E decanter centrifuges are utilized for this project, we received the lab samples of the materials to be treated before their order, we make a lab test in our factory by professional engineer and make some customized design to meet the customer’s requirement for treatment result.


Features of the 5 units of GNLW454EP decanter centrifuge:
1) Bowl material is made of duplex stainless steel 2507 for better corrosion resistance, our standard design of bowl material is duplex stainless steel 2205 or 2304, which is much better in anti-corrosion than SS316L and SS304 used by other competitors. Because the waste water to be treated with highly corrosive chemical water, we made customized design specially for this project.


2) The bearing is from SKF brand for longer working life.
3) The screw impeller is protected by tungsten carbide tiles for longer working life, and the open impeller design will increase the treating capacity and improve the separation performance, the tiles is repairable once it is damaged, especially suitable for the material with higher solids content.
4) The main motor is 45KW, the back drive motor is with 11KW. Both motors are installed on one side for compact design and enough space for operation.


GNLW453C-VFD and GNLW452D decanter centrifuge are all with 18 inch bowl, they can be used for drilling mud solids control and drilling waste management system, it can be also used as dewatering centrifuge with chemical dosing system.

Mud cleaner for Offshore drilling

Recently one batch of mud cleaner for offshore drilling are ready for delivery, as one of the most professional solids control equipments and drilling waste management equipments manufacturer in China, GN Solids Control can produce shale shaker, mud cleaner, desander, desilter, vacuum degasser, decanter centrifuge, mud agitator, mixing hopper, mud gun and others solids control equipments for both onshore and offshore drilling rig. The standard equipments design is same, just for different applications, the explosion proof standard and lifting design will be different. The lifting frame and lifting pad can be DNV 2.7-1 and CSS approved. The motor and starter can be IEC EX & ATEX for zone 1 or zone 2 application.


The mud cleaner is a combination of desander cone ( 10inch), desilter cone ( 4 inch) and bottom shale shaker, it is also called 3 in 1. The compact design can save space on the solids control system mud tank, especially when the mud tank size is also compact. 2 nos of centrifugal pump as feeding pump of desander cone and desilter cone, GN produced centrifugal pump is interchangeable with world famous brand centrifugal pump, the pump casing and impeller are made of ductile iron for better wear resistance capability.
Depends on the drilling fluids temperature, if it is over 70℃,we will use special material desander cone with outter metal cover to prevent it from reform and damage. The desilter cone is 100% polyurethane material for longer working life.


The shaker screen is composite material frame shaker screen with SS316L material wire mesh. Our screens have been tested by API third party lab and got the report, all of GN shaker screens are produced comply with API RP13C standard.
The patent sealing rubber design ensure the good sealing of the shaker screens on the shaker deck, the bottom deck is made of stainless steel for better corrosion resistance.

4 Package of Fully Hydraulic Drive Decanter Centrifuge for Middle East

Recently we shipped 4 package of fully hydraulic drive decanter centrifuge for Middle East client, including the feeding pump of decanter centrifuge with manually adjust speed . This is a repeat order of the client, the driven unit is Viscotherm and Rotidiff from Sweden.
The 4 package of decanter centrifuges are with 14 inch bowl, which are made by centrifugal casting and using SS2205 or SS2304. The screw propeller is protected by tungsten carbide tiles or build up welding. The solids discharge port and fluids distribution port are protected by tungsten carbide alloy. The customer can choose centrifuge support legs, solids discharge trough, telescopic skid for option.


Except for full hydraulic drive decanter centrifuge, GN solids control also produced VFD decanter centrifuge and rated speed decanter centrifuge to meet for different requirement. The purpose to use full hydraulic drive decanter centrifuge instead of VFD decanter centrifuge is to adopt it in high temperature ambient for heavy mud with flexible bowl speed and differential speed, especially in Middle east and Africa and other high temperature area.

The VFD decanter centrifuge can be also used in such high temperature area up to 55℃, based on different explosion proof standard requied for electric motor and control panel, we have 2 design: one is VFD control panel with self cooling system, the other one is VFD control panel with air conditioner for cooling. But when environment temperature is higher than 50 ℃,full hydraulic drive decanter centrifuge is more suitable for such applications, even though the price is a little higher, and the maintenance cost is higher compared with VFD decanter centrifuge which is drived by electricity. The rated speed decanter centrifuge can be used for solids control system drilling fluids treatment, when used it for barite recovery, the user can replace middle speed pulleys with belts.

2 package of Tandem shale shaker for India drilling company

Recently 2 package of tandem shale shaker are shipped to India drilling company, including the spares and shaker screens with different API mesh size and tool kits. The features of the single shale shaker is as below:
1) Stainless steel material with all the vibration and non vibration components, including shaker deck, vibration beam, shaker screens, shaker deck bottom, etc, which is better for anti corrosion.


2) The sealing rubbers are applicable to SOBM, OBM and WBM, all types of mud, the unique patent design sealing rubbers can extend the working life of sealing rubber, to prevent the mud from leakage and for better sealing performance.
3) The vibration motor is DGMS approved, and also international explosion proof, such as IECEX, ATEX, CNEX.
4) The starter, cables, glands and other electrical components are all IEC explosion proof to meet the local requirement.


5) The high G force up to 7.5G to ensure the good performance of the separation, the deck angle adjustment by both ends simultaneously is user friendly design, so that the deck angle adjustment can be done by one worker easily without need another person’s join in.
6) The shaker screens are all made of composite material frame with SS316L material wire mesh for longer working life, we have passed the API RP13C TPI inspection, all of the screens are produced as per API RP13C standard.
7) The possum belly and tandem shale shaker skid are included, with the connection pipelines from poor boy degasser to trip tank, and the side discharge trough design can allow the drilling waste flows to the specific waste pit directly

Vertical Cuttings Dryer and Decanter Centrifuge package with telescopic skid

The vertical cuttings dryer and decanter centrifuge should be lay on the telescopic skid for better performance and convenient operation. Recently we shipped several units of telescopic skid mounted vertical cuttings dryer and decanter centrifuge to international oilfield service company, they repeat the same order since 2014, and they are satisfied with the equipments performance, quality and our after sales service.

When the vertical G dryer and decanter centrifuge is installed on the mud tank, we will provide simple support frame legs, and the solids discharge trough is also an option if required.
Vertical cuttings dryer is an ideal equipment to treat the oil based drilling cuttings and SOBM, when used for water based drilling cuttings, high G drying shaker can work better and with higher cost performance ratio. The cuttings discharged from vertical cuttings dryer with oil content in the cuttings is below 5%, in some countries, it is permitted to be disposal directly or for landfill. In some other countries, it needs further treatment such as burning, TDU, Biodegradation or injection. The treated fluids will flow to an intermediate tank, then decanter centrifuge feeding pump will transfer the fluids to VFD decanter centrifuge to separate more fine solids from the fluids, the treated fluids will be collected by an centrifuge tank and transfer to active mud tank system for reuse or chemical mixing tank to prepare for new drilling fluids. The drilling waste management system is environmental friendly system to reduce the drilling waste and reduce the harmful to the earth, also can recycle more useful drilling fluids for the customer and save the drilling cost, especially in some countries the zero discharge system is compulsory, otherwise they cannot get permit for drilling project.

Shale Shaker and Decanter Centrifuge shipped to International Environmental Company

Recently we shipped shale shaker and decanter centrifuge to International Environmental Company. They use GN equipments to treat the slurry collected from different recycling company, including metal, glass, silt, sand, plastic etc. By using GN equipment, they succeeded to separate out those valuable info such as metals, glass or silt to resell. The technical configuration is as below:


1)Before feeding to shale shaker, the operator use a crusher to broke all the materials recycled from different place into small size, otherwise the shaker screens will be damaged very quickly, and make it easier transferred by the pump. 4 panel drying shale shaker to separate coarse solids from slurry, the fluids dropped into the mud tank. The centrifugal pump feed the fluids to desander cone and desilter cone.


2) 4 panel mud cleaner to separate the fine solids from fluids, the desander cone separation cut point is 45 microns, the desilter cone separation cut point is 25 microns, the hydrocyclones material is 100% PU material for longer working life. The clean fluids drop into the mud tank, the decanter centrifuge feeding pump transfer the clean fluids to decanter centrifuge for further treatment.
3) GNLW553C-VFD decanter centrifuge with chemical dosing system to separate ultra fine solids up to 1 microns. Since adding the flocculants in the slurry will reduce the treating capacity of decanter centrifuge a lot, to meet the required treating capacity of the project, a big bowl big treating capacity decanter centrifuge should be applied.
The centrifuge discharged solids can be collected by waste bag or waste collection box, if the user want to get much drier solids, press filter can be applied.

Drilling Waste Management Equipments for Pitless Solution

Drilling waste management equipments for pitless solution including vertical cuttings dryer, high G drying shaker, VFD decanter centrifuge, screw conveyor, sludge vacuum pump, screw pump, etc. Recently GN solids control shipped one batch of drilling waste management equipments to International oilfield service company. The client collect the drilling waste from onshore and offshore rig site and dump the drilling waste together, with both water based mud and oil based mud drilling waste. The operator need one drilling waste management system which can treat both water based mud and oil based mud.

The working principal is as below:
The sludge vacuum pump pick up the drilling waste to the collection hopper of screw conveyor, which will transfer the drilling waste to high G drying shaker and vertical cuttings dryer. If there is no vacuum pump, an auger system to collect all the drilling waste from the rig solids control system is necessary. The cuttings are separated out by high G drying shaker and vertical cuttings dryer and collected by skips, the fluids are dropped into the mud tank, the centrifuge feeding pump transfer the clean fluids to decanter centrifuge to separate the fine solids, the cut point is 2~5 microns. The clean fluids cn be reused for drilling rig and prepare for new fluids. By using proper chemicals, the separation cut point is up to 1 microns, most of the solids can be separated out.


The pitless solution or zero discharge system is consist of solids control system and drilling waste management system, the solids control system is working to reduce the discharged drilling waste, which will be collected by screw conveyor system and transferred to drilling cuttings treatment system. The discharged solids can be collected by waste container for land fill or injection. The whole process is environmental friendly design without needing a waste pit on the ground.

High speed decanter centrifuge manufacturer in China
