To achieve optimum performance and reliability from your degasser, the services and utilities described in the following paragraphs must be available at the installation site.

Mud system The customer must provide a compartmentalized mud-settling system.

Mud Agitator A customer-supplied centrifugal pump is required for operating the eductor. The pump must provide 75 feet of head at the eductor inlet, which must be located no farther than 25 feet from the degasser.

For electrical service requirements, refer to the voltage label above the electrical junction box. Also consult the data plate on the vacuum pump motor housing to verify power requirements. Refer to Section 11 – Reference Drawings for the wiring schematic that applies to your degasser. Electric service will also be required for the customer-supplied centrifugal pump drive motor.

The vacuum pump has a 1-1/2” NPT fitting on its outlet manifold. This fitting is provided for carrying the extracted gas away from the degasser. The customer must connect a suitable line to carry the gas to a safe distance from the equipment.

To make sure bearing operated well, we must use LGHP2 grade high temperature lubrication grease. Before adding new lubrication grease we should clean the input hole.Commonly, bearing will have natural temperature increase by 1-2 days just after lubricating or second lubrication.To avoid dust fall into oil input hole, or wear bearing, usually we’ll use oil cup to cover oil hole.

If we operate the drilling waste management after long time off status, we need to inspect motor rotary unit on insulation. Use 500V Ω gauge, get resistance is not larger than 0.5MSZ, we can run the Desilter.

Notice: If the motor doesn’t run at all, we must shut off the power immediately to avoid motor broken.After starting motor, to inspect, whether this is any problem. If there is any break off or uncommon noise. If two motors are not running in-phase we need to stop the motors and get rid of problems then turn it on again for operation.. When mud system is under cold status, should not be started 5 times continuously; when motor is turned off under hot status, the restart can not be over 3 times continuously.

Flush the desilter drilling equipment according to item 4.2.4 when start-up it after a long time idle.
Drum must begin running when main driving motor’s speed reaches 80~90% of its full speed, otherwise stop the motor immediately. Check if the oil level of the coupler correct, or any obstruction exists in the drum.
Service oil temperature can’t exceed 90°C when the coupler run continuously.
The melting temperature of the meltable plug in the coupler is 125°C. If the oil temperature exceed 125°C because of overload, fusible alloy in the meltable plug is melt , the oil in it spays out , at this time, Desilter must be stopped at once. Supply oil as above mentioned. Replace the meltable plug with another one of the same specification. Caution: Don’t replace the meltable plug with solid bolt.
After using, flush the drum and inner cavity . Caution: When you flush the underflow nozzle of drum’s small end, never strentch your fingers into the hole because screw propeller may be still running even though the drum has stopped rotating, fingers may be cut off!!
Mud filling speed should below 40m3/h, otherwise, it is easy to cause overload in charged mud and then make the shear pin to be cut or clutch slips. In non-charged mud, liquid phase may flow away from the underflow opening, cause waste.
Separating effect will decrease when mud viscosity at inlet opening exceed 38 seconds. Fill amount of water in to dilute and decrease funnel viscosity below 35 seconds.
Operation personnel should check and see bearing holder’s temperature on two ends, differential temperature and sand discharging condition. If discharged sand is thin slurry which can flow continuously and automatically, it means that the separating effect is the best, and with light load, this is very important for prolonging the life of the centrifuge. If discharged sand is lump and come out discontinuously, at the same time, it looks very dry. It means that mud with too much sand and centrifuge’s load is too heavy, adequate split-flow should be done. Otherwise, it will lead to main motor’s stoppage because of overload or main bearing and differential’s temperature rising. In another word, main bearing or differential’s temperature rising(main bearing’s temperature exceed 70°C, differential’s exceed 50°C) indicate that mud has too much sand and split-flow should be done,Drain off remained liquid in the drum when stopping the centrifuge in winter and rescrew the bolt after the liquid is drain off(the bolt is at the big end of drum).

Mud Agitator adjustment refer to fig V. There is mainly bracket, pedestal, elevation whirl worm, elevation nuts, etc. When we make adjustment, handle wheel rotary by clockwise, shaker deck angle will be larger; handle wheel rotary by anti clockwise shaker deck angle will be less.
Mud Agitator output angle adjustment can be operated under running and off. When finish the shaker deliver it, the shaker deck is 0°. When user operate shaker, according to drilling mud property and flow rate on job site, and adopts same screen, the angle is higher, the treating performance will be better while treating capacity will be higher. When drilling fluid is leaking on shaker deck, increase deck angle can get rid of fluid flow away
Angle range: -2 ~ +8°, rated angle is 0~ +5°

the vibration motor should be under good lubrication during operation:
Motors before fixed on shaker, the bearing is filled with SKF specific lubricate grease, the temperature range is -40 ~ 200℃
During running, every 2000 working hours user should makeup LGHP2 lubricate grease once. Every bearing can not be filled over 25.8g
During 2000 hours, if any bearing daily temperature increase (temperature increase means motor shell actual one deduct environment temperature, every half one month test on bearing temperature increase is requested) 10° than common situation. This means the lubrication isn’t sufficient. At this time, the lubrication schedule and lubrication grease make up quantity should be decreased properly. In principle, every 2000hours, every bearing lubrication grease makeup should be less than 25.8g. Such as, lubrication period will be deducted half of usual quantity (1000 hours) while lubrication grease make up should be less than 12.9g. Usually, bearing daily temperature increase every 10°, lubrication period and make up quantity should be decreased once

Our company launched Desander machine is worth buying

Before startup, first to open the ball valve on the vacuum pump water supply pipeline (alternatively could removed the vacuum pump water supply pipeline to use hose for water supply) and then unscrew the screw plug on the Mud Cleaner to fill water until the water over flow outlet and spin on the screw plug.

Finally, rotate the coupling by hand or pipe wrenches few rounds to confirm that the Solids Control is not jammed or other damage then start.
