We shipped a repeat order to Russia client this week for several units of shale shakers, Russia market is one of our best market among over 70 countries in the world, the best seller is shale shaker, mud cleaner, shaker screens, decanter centrifuge, vertical cuttings dryer. Most of the shale shakers are used for oil & gas drilling industry.
Shale shaker technical specification:


1) GN solids control has different models with different treating capacity for option, we have 2 panel shale shaker, 3 panel shale shaker, 4 panel shale shaker and double deck shale shaker, all of the shale shaker installed with composite material frame shaker screens, the total screen effective area with different treating capacity.
2) Normally we produce linear motion shale shaker, if required by client, we will make dual motion shale shaker, which with linear motion and progressive elliptical motion shale shaker.


3) The shaker deck is made of carbon steel material, and the deck bottom is made of stainless steel 304 material for better strength, better abrasion resistance, this component is fluids touch part. For special requirement, we can also make the whole shaker deck with vibration beam with stainless steel material, the mounting skid is made by high grade structure steel.
When install the desander, desilter frame on top of the shale shaker, the 3 in 1 combination unit will be called as mud cleaner. With different qty desander cone and desilter cone, the treating capacity is different. We have 500gpm, 1000gpm, 1500gpm treating capacity for option.
4) The shale shaker and mud cleaner adopted with same dimension shaker screens, which are also interhchangeable with world’s famous brand shale shaker. Except for OEM screens, we also produce replacement shaker screens for other brand shale shaker.

Water based drilling cuttings treatment and disposal system

Recently GN shipped one set of water based drilling cuttings disposal system to Africa, firstly the client use water based drilling cuttings treatment system to treat the drilling waste firstly, to reduce the moisture of the discharged cuttings as much as possible, so the user can use less lime and absorber material and save the cost to reach better solidification result. The working principal of the cuttings solidification unit is to use lime and absorber to mix the drilling cuttings and prevent the waste from leakage to the environment, and safe for landfill and other construction works.
The solidification unit configuration is as below:


Installed one 2 separate skid for flexible operation, one skid is drilling cuttings collection hopper to receive the water based drilling cuttings and transferred by screw conveyor to solidification mixing skid; the other skid is solidification mixing unit including lime storage box, absorber storage box, with 2 auger to transfer the material to high shear mixer, the materials are mixed by high shear mixer and transfer to the solids discharged port, the hazardous waste are locked into the discharged solids, so that it can be safe to the environment.


High G drying shaker is a 4 panel screen shale shaker, the shaker screens installed is composite material frame shaker screens, 2 nos of 1.94KW vibration motor provide high G force up to 8.0G, the hopper type buffer box to receive the drilling cuttings from the auger discharge port.
VFD decanter centrifuge to separate the fine solids from the drilling waste, if necessary, flocculants should be added to increase the separation performance, the fluids will be more clear, and the discharged solids is much drier. The max speed is up to 3900rpm, max G force is 3063G, the typical speed is 3200rpm, the typical G force is 2062G.

Three phase separator manufacturer in China

Three phase separator produced by GN solids control is used to separate the oil from water for refinery oil sludge separation project. There are 2 options for the 3 phase separation unit, one is to use three phase decanter centrifuge, the other option is GN standard 3 phase separation package.


Three phase separation package is consist of 2 phase decanter centrifuge and feed by screw pump, buffer tank to receive the discharged fluids and to be transferred by diaphragm pump or slowly flow to disc centrifuge for oil and water separation, the oil is recovered and back to the client, the water will be collected and re-used in the circulation system. By using proper demulsifier, the recovered oil can reach to BS &W below 3%. The water to be collected with oil content 500 ~ 1000ppm.


The 2 phase separation decanter centrifuge with VFD control panel is used to separate the ultra fine solids up to 2 microns. The max speed is 3900rpm and the normal working speed is 3200rpm, the max G force is up to 3063G and typical G force is up to 2062G, if necessary, the used can add proper chemicals to accumulate the ultra fine solids for easier separation by gravity difference. The disc centrifuge can provide high G force to separate the oil from water after discharges by decanter centrifuge.
Another option is oil water separator, the separation result is not as good as disc centrifuge, but the capacity is much bigger and the price is cheaper. The 3 phase separation package can be used for most type of oil sludge waste treatment, like Crude Oil storage tank cleaning sludge, Refinery plant waste oil sludge, Drilling waste oil sludge.

Heli lifted solids control system shipped to Papua New Guinea

Last month we shipped one set of Heli lifted solids control system to Papua New Guinea by air freight. This is not the first time for GN solids control to produce such Heli lifting mud tank system, we ever supplied the similar projects before. The design and production is different with the normal solids control system.


The Heli lifted solids control system including:
2 units of shale shaker, 1 unit of mud cleaner, 2 unit of centrifugal pump, 1 unit of mud gas separator, 1 set of trip tank, 1 set of treatment tank, 1 set of mud mixing tank, all with tank accessories, handrails, walkway, stairs, electric control system, lightings, mud agitator, mud gun, etc.

Linear motion Shale shaker with 3 pcs composite material frame shaker screens, 2 ea of 2.3HP vibration motor, 1 ea of explosion proof starter, the shaker deck bottom is made of stainless steel material for better abrasion resistance. The G force is adjustable and up to 7.5G.
Linear motion mud cleaner with 3pcs composite material frame shaker screens, 2 ea of 10 inch desander cone, 12 ea of 4 inch desilter cone, also equipped with 2 ea 2.3HP vibration motors, 1 ea of explosion proof starter.
The mud gas separator is installed on a frame for convenient transportation, during shipment, it will be laying down.

All the equipments are installed in a heli lifting designed frame for safety lifting by a Helicopter in Papua New Guinea.
The mud tank are also equipped with lifting pad for heli lifting purpose. The mud agitator are heavy duty to be used to agitate the drilling fluids in the mud tank.

For 3 phase cleaning mud system, the first phase separation is shale shaker to separate coarse solids, the second phase separation is desander cone with cut point of 45 microns, the third phase separation is desilter cone with cut point of 25 microns.

Oil slurry separation system manufacturer in China

A basic oil sludge separation system including: sludge transfer unit, pre-mixing modular, coarse solids separation modular, fine solids separation modular, 3 phase separation modular, chemical dosing unit, oil storage tank, water storage tank and other accessories. The most important modular is fine solids separation modular and 3 phase separation, the other modular might be replaced or removed depends on the client’s requirement and site situation.


A decanter centrifuge with positive pressurized VFD control panel is used to separate the fine solids from the oil / water mixture liquids, proper chemicals should be used in the process to improve the separation performance, the fine solids should be separated as much as possible so that the next step 3 phase centrifuge can separate the oil and water with good result, without blocking the equipment. Before feeding to the decanter centrifuge, no solids bigger than 1mm remained in the oil sludge should be ensured, it might influence the centrifuge working life and lead it to blocking easily.


The 3 phase centrifuge is to use to separate the oil from water, and oil will flow to a small tank, when the liquid level reach the setting limit, the oil pump will pump it to the storage tank automatically, which will be recovered by the refinery. The recovered water can be re-used in the circulation to be used for mixing, heating and flushing.

Oil recovery solution from oil sludge

GN Solids Control can provide customized solution for oil sludge treatment unit, the core equipment is decanter centrifuge, which can separate the fine solids from the fluids mixture, the separation performance highly depends on the working and quality of the decanter centrifuge. When use the decanter centrifuge, the user should ensure that coarse solids are already separated out in case that the big solids will block the centrifuge bowl and the screw will be damaged easily because of high solids content.


The fluids discharged from decanter centrifuge will flow to a intermediate tank, then to be pumped to three phase centrifuge to separate oil and water. The recovery oil will be storage in a oil tank, the discharged water will be storage in the water tank or reused.
The working principal of decanter centrifuge for solids and liquid phase cleaning:
The oil sludge is feed to decanter centrifuge inlet pipe, and push to centrifuge bowl from screw fluids distribution port by centrifugal force. The oil sludge is rotating with the bowl under high speed up to 3900rpm, the normal working speed is 3200rpm. The centrifugal force is much more higher than gravity. With the great centrifugal force, a fluids ring is generated along with the bowl inside wall, because of the density difference for solids and liquids, the solids is heavier than liquids, which will generate bigger centrifugal force, so it is settled down to the fluids discharge port.
GN big bowl big volume decanter centrifuge GNLW554EP is the ideal model to treat oil sludge with higher treating capacity, the bowl diameter is 550mm, the bowl length is 2310mm, the higher L/D ratio 4.2 will treat the oil sludge better and cleaner. The Netzsch brand screw pump will be used to feed the different material to decanter centrifuge for stable working.

Recently we shipped one unit of 200gpm mud recycling & mixing system to Bahrain for HDD projects. This is a compact design mud system with cleaning, recycling, mixing and storage function. The system is consist of double deck shale shaker with desilter cone, 1 unit of desilter feeding pump, 1 unit of mixing pump, 1 unit of venturi hopper, 1 unit of mud tank. We also have compact design mud cleaning system GNMS-200D with 200gpm mud system, this system is with cleaning function only, and the storage capacity is very small, this economic configuration unit is normally used for TBM & Piling project.

Oil sludge separation system working at site

Below is the working photo of oil sludge separation system at site, they install the complete unit under the awning to proof the sunshine, rain, snow. The most essential component is 3 phase separation modular, which consist of below equipments:


1) 2 phase decanter centrifuge to separate solids from fluids, to make it easily separation, the operator can add chemicals to the static mixer through chemical dosing system and then to centrifuge feed tube, the chemicals will accumulate the solids size for easier separation by decanter centrifuge.
2) The fluids discharged from decanter centrifuge will flow to a intermediate tank, then a small diaphragm pump will pump the mixture fluids to a disc centrifuge to separate the oil from water. The clean fluids will flow to a oil tank for temporary storage, once it reach the limit level, the oil pump will pump to a big storage tank automatically. The water will pump also be pump to a water storage tank automatically when reach the level limit.


3) By adding proper chemicals, the recovered oil BS & W below 3%,the discharged solids with oil content can be treated to 1% o 2%. The recovery water with oil content below 1000 ppmv, if the client need it to be below 30 ppm, we need to use further oil water separator after 3 phase centrifuge also by working with proper chemicals.
4) All the equipments, liquid level meter, intermediate tank, lightings, are installed on the same skid for convenient transportation and operation. Proper lifting points are provided on the four corners of the skid.
The other modular including oil sludge transfer modular ( vacuum pump), pre mixing modular, shale shaker modular, dewatering unit modular. We can sell the complete set oil sludge treatment system or by separate modular according to different oil sludge conditions.
