GN solids control shipped one set of oil sludge treatment system to our Africa client last November, now the system has been set up in the client’s rig site in Uganda.

The oil sludge treatment system including:
1. shale shaker tank skid:
GNZS594E-LD High G drying shaker is 4 panel pretentioned shaker screen shale shaker, it is used for the drying of the cuttings/WBM/oil sludge and separation of the coarse solids from the oil sludge.The screen size is 585x1165mm, composite material shaker screens with stainless steel 304 wire mesh. The shaker is with hot water spray system to avoid the blocking of the oil sludge on the screen because of high viscosity.
2. decanter centrifuge with dewatering unit tank skid:
VFD decanter centrifuge with dewatering unit on the same mud tank skid, the 14 inch bowl decanter centrifuge is the best sold model centrifuge for oil sludge treatment system, Before feeding to the centrifuge inlet pipe, the heated oil sludge ( from the shaker tank) will be adding chemicals and mixed in static mixer then flow to the centrifuge feed pipe. After treatment of the decanter centrifuge, the fluids will be adding acid or alkali to adjust the PH value for safety disposal.
3. Acid & Alkali Liquid storage Skid
4. 3 phase separation system skid, it is also called oil water separator skid, including slant plate clarifier and oil water separator.The clean oil and clean water will be separated and storaged in the buffer tank.
5. Screw conveyor to transfer the discharge cuttings from shale shaker and decanter centrifuge
We have 10inch diameter, 12 inch, 14 inch, 16 inch screw convetor with different length for option, each section is 12ft length, you can choose 1 section, or 2,3,4 section according to the rig area dimension. The discharged solids will be transferred automatically by the augers to the waste container for disposal.

This week GN solids control shipped several sets of linear motion shale shakers to Russia, this is not the first order from this Russia client, they had orders huge qty equipments since last year.

The linear motion shale shaker is the 4-panel screen shale shaker with screen dimension 585 x 1165mm, composite material frame pre-tensioned shaker screens. GN shaker screen with 3 layers stainless steel 304 ( or SS316l) wire mesh for all the screens finer than API60. The composite material screen can be anti-corrosion and anti-rust for over 5 years storage. The screens can be also used for Swaco Mongoose or Meerkat shale shaker if the clients have these model shale shakers.
The linear motion shale shaker is more cost effective and common design all around the world, sometimes balanced elliptical motion or progressive elliptical motion shale shaker is required for some special drilling fluids.
We have several options for vibration motors, normally we use Italy Oli brand vibrators, for special required explosion proof standard like IEC ex, ATEX, GN will use either Italy Oli or US martin for option.

Except for linear motion shale shaker, GN solids control also sold a lot of linear motion mud cleaner with the same bottom shaker model, high speed decanter centrifuge, high G force vertical cuttings dryer to Russia, thousands of shaker screens are sold monthly for US brand shale shaker and Chinese brand shale shakers.
When using the linear motion shale shaker for oil based drilling mud, the operator can use different API mesh size to reach the drilling requirement which is different with water based drilling mud.

The sludge separation system used in construction industry is used widely for water recovery and drying the waste cake. The waste water can be reused for construction industry to save water consumption cost. In some developed countries the waste sludge produced in construction industry is strictly controlled for disposal, so the moisture in the discharged cake should be as dry as possible. Also in some specified projects, huge amount water is required such as Tunneling, pilings, etc.

The big bowl big treating capacity GNLW553-VFD decanter centrifuge, with 22 inch bowl diameter and 71 inch bowl length, this is not the largest centrifuge GN produced, we also have 30 inch bowl centrifuge, with max treating capacity 200m3/h, it is suitable for big tunneling project.

Based on the waste water treatment standard, chemical dosing system is required before feeding to the decanter centrifuge, so it can separate the cut point up to 1 microns.

Next week GN solids control will ship 6 units of linear motion shale shaker and 2 units of jet mud mixers to India, they are for the operation of the 2 drilling rigs. The client owns their own oilfield, rigs and solids control systems, they need to replace their old equipments by GN solids control equipments.
This is not the first order from this India drilling company, they ever bought 3 sets of solids control system for 2000HP rig and 1000HP rig 9 years ago, and then bought linear motion shale shaker, linear motion mud cleaner and vacuum degasser from GN with rig complete package, also the shaker screens for the shale shakers. Even the shale shaker with only 3pcs screens, but the effective screen area is up to 2.63m3, only a little smaller than 4 panel shale shaker GNZS94E, the client can replace less screens compared with 4 panel shale shaker, and they can remain all their shale shakers with same dimension shaker screens, so it is easy to stock shaker screens.

The shale shaker installed with composite material frame shaker screens, which is designed for longer working life and longer storage time up to 5 years without getting rusty. The conductance and separation cut point is also larger than the steel frame screens, it is very popular among drilling companies.

The jet mud mixer is the combination of mixing hopper, mixing pump and pipelines on the same skid, it is for convenient operation and transportation, the client can choose different models according to the mixing rate they required for the mud tank system.

Recently GN solids control shipped one set of solids separation system for mining to Vietnam. The client sent their engineer to China for EX works delivery inspection and operation & maintenance training.
The solids separation system is used to separate the cuttings/ solids from the mining sludge, then the client can recover the sludge/ water to save the cost for the client, and the final disposal waste is reduced, so the waste treatment cost could be reduced and saved.

It is a 2 phase separation system including shale shaker and decanter centrifuge which are installed on the mud tank. The configuration is as below:
1)High G drying shaker to separate coarse solids from the mining waste sludge, the mesh size of the shaker screen is choosed by the client as per the solids size range in the sludge.
2)VFD decanter centrifuge to separate fine solids from the mining waste water to reduce the solids content, only ultra fine solids remained in the water, the clean water storaged in the mud tank can be reused.
The moisture of solids discharged from the centrifuge can be adjusted as per the client’s requirement, by adjusting the pond depth adjustment plate, the discharged solids can be dry or wet and the treating capacity also varies accordingly.

Recently GN solids control shipped one set of trailer mounted mud tank system to Africa for water well drilling, we also had sold such trailer mounted mud tank in Indonesia, which is one of our most important market.

Before GN ever made trailer mounted mud tank in a different way, which is put the skid mounted mud tank onto a containerized trailer for convenient movement from one site to another. The mud tank and trailer is connected by special locks, you can remove the trailer once you need to put the mud tank on the skid.  By this way, the production cost is very high, and the total height of the mud tank is very high, you have to remove the solids control equipments ( like shale shaker, mud cleaner) during transportation.

The new design trailer mounted mud tank is with 4 tyres at the end of the trailer, each side with 2 tyres, the mud tank and trailer is welding together as an integral part. The stairs is installed on the trailer, the mud tank height is according to the land transportation rule in different countries. The shale shaker will not be removed during transportation, the mud cleaner could be removed if the total height over the road permit, for convenient transportation, it might not be removed and installed on the mud tank.
The trailer mounted mud tank will also include mud agitator, mud pipelines, valves, lighting system, electric control system, handrails, stairs, walkways, shale shaker,etc.

This week GN solids control shipped 3 sets of solids control equipments to Europe. The equipments list including:

3 units of decanter centrifuge

These equipments are the main solids control equipments in our products line, as a top manufacturer of solids control equipments and drilling waste management system in China, linear motion shale shaker, mud cleaner and decanter centrifuge are the best sold products. Some clients want to buy mud tanks locally to save delivery time and sea freight cost, and install GN equipments on top of the mud tank system. Others want to replace the old equipments on their old tanks. The decanter centrifuge can be used for both LGS and Barite recovery. The 3200rpm pulley is installed on the centrifuge for low gravity solids, when the client want to use the centrifuge for barite recovery, they can replace the pulley to 2200rpm.
We also provide the VFD control panel to adjust the frequency of the motor to change the rotation speed of the decanter centrifuge, so the client can use the centrifuge for low gravity solids, high gravity solids, barite recovery.
