Mainly the dredging slurry dewatering equipments including shale shaker ( to separate coarse solids and reduce solids content) , desander ( solids separation cut point 40 microns), desilter ( solids separation cut point 20 microns), big bowl dewatering centrifuge ( mechanical separation cut point 2~5 microns, working with chemical dosing to improve the separation efficiency), feeding pump, screw conveyor ( to transfer the discharged solids), mud tank for liquids storage, with pipelines for proper flow diagram. The working process is as below:


Firstly the shale shaker separate the coarse solids bigger than 300 microns by using proper mesh size shaker screen, secondly the desander cone to separate the 50~300 microns solids, the desilter cone to separate the 20~ 50 microns material, the dewatering centrifuge to separate fine solids to get clean water, which can be sent to waste water treatment facility if need. The solids can be transferred by screw conveyor to cuttings collection box and transfer to other area for construction area. The whole system meets the standard of North America usage.


The big bowl dewatering centrifuge is 30 inch bowl diameter, the bowl length is 131 inch, the designed capacity is 528gpm, the max G force is up to 3000G, the gearbox torch is 25000N.M., gearbox ratio is 38:1. The main motor is 160KW, the back drive motor is 90KW, the centrifuge is drived by the VFD control panel.

How to adjust GN shale shaker deck angle?

Shale shaker deck angle adjustment is one of the important operation for shale shaker usage. As a professional shale shaker manufacturer in China, we can produce linear motion shale shaker and dual motion ( linear motion and balance elliptical motion) shale shaker for oil & gas drilling mud cleaning system, we can produce single layer and double layer shale shaker, also we have 2 panel, 3 panel, 4 panel, 5 panel, 6 panel shale shaker with different treating capacity for different applications, also we have drilling fluids cleaning shale shaker, oil sludge shale shaker, ViST shale shaker, mining screen ( including stack vibrating screen, mining vibration screen, high G fine vibrating screen, double deck linear vibrating screen, etc), also we produce equipped shaker screens by GN own workshop which produced compliant with API RP13C standard.


There are 2 types shale shaker deck angle adjustment method, one is electrical, one is mechanical, the deck angel adjustment is according to the drilling fluids solids size, density, feeding capacity, drilling fluids type, shaker screen type and mesh size, normally it is adjusted according to the user’s experience. GN shale shaker deck angle can be mechanically adjusted synchronously at both sides, it doesnot need 2 persons to operate the shaker at the same time, one person can do the work from one side, he can adjust both sides synchronously.
The tools to adjust the deck angle is ratchet wrench, which is stock in the tool box when delivery.


The operator holds the ratchet wrench and causes it to rotate to drive the lead screw elevator. The lead screw of the lead screw elevator drives the 4 lifting tube assembly to rise or fall, and the lifting tube assembly stops rotating when it reaches the ideal position. Through the above operations, the user can choose an appropriate angle for production based on the on-site mud performance and flow rate.

Screw conveyor manufacturer in China

As a screw conveyor manufacturer in China, GN solids control can produce screw conveyor with different size and transfer length as per client’s requirement.


Before selling, we will collect necessary information from our clients, including transfer materials, density, moisture, temperature, max particle size, solids content, etc. According to the reply, there are different material for selection, such as carbon steel, stainless steel SS304, SS316L, ASTM A36, etc. Also we will select proper models according to transfer flow capacity, conveyor angle( the screw conveyor can be installed horizontally and inclined, but the angle should be no more than 40 degree), the screw type (feeder type or conveyor type), feeding type ( flood load or uniform), installation condition (indoor, outdoor ), inlet port and outlet port, power supply, explosion proof standard, fixed speed or variable speed, and other information necessary. The screw conveyor quantity and models are also according to the site layout.


The screw conveyor is a traditional equipment to transfer the drilling cuttings, drilling fluids and other waste sludge from solids control system primary shaker or from waste pit. The tightly closed casing cover is utilized for better sealing result, except for drilling waste, the screw conveyor can be also used to transfer food, medicine, chemical, paper making, environmental solutions, metallurgy, building materials, electricity, coal ash, cement, sand, lump coal, cereals, etc.
GN can produce Screw conveyor with diameter 10inch, 12 inch, 14 inch, 16 inch and 18 inch, the transfer length is customized, each section is standard 12ft, there are 1 section, 2 sections, 3 section and 4 sections for option, with 12ft, 24ft, 36ft, 48ft length.
The screw flights are made of wear resistant and thicker manganese steel, reinforced frame outside the conveyor with high strength to the complete conveyor, the bearings are from NSK or FAG for reliable working.

Mud cleaner and drilling waste management system ready for shipment

Recently one set of mud cleaner and drilling waste management system with auger transferring system are ready for shipment to international drilling company, they will be installed at same rig site. The equipments list is as below:

Mud cleaner, which is a combination of desander cone, desilter cone and bottom shale shaker, the treating capacity is 1000gpm, the shaker screen installed on the bottom shaker is 4pcs of 585x1165mm shaker screen with 3 layers of stainless steel 316L material wire mesh, the shaker screen is produced comply with API RP13C standard.

Cuttings transfer system, including 2 units of 12ft screw conveyor to pick up the discharged drill cuttings from decanter centrifuge and vertical cuttings dryer and transfer them to the cuttings collection box automatically. The telescopic skid supporting system is included according to rig layout.

Drilling waste management system, standard design for OBM and SOBM cuttings treatment, including vertical cuttings dryer, VFD decanter centrifuge, flushing pump, centrifuge feeding pump, centrifuge telescopic skid, vertical cutting dryer telescopic skid and fluids collection tank skid, with integral electric control system, accessories.
Vertical cuttings dryer GNCD930 has been widely used to separate coarse solids from drilling waste, the discharged solids discharged from solids outlet port and transferred by screw conveyor to skip, the oil on the cuttings will be normally less than 5%~10% depends on different drilling waste, the recovery fluids will flow to intermediate tank for fluids collection, the centrifuge feeding pump will feed the fluids to decanter centrifuge to separate fine solids, the separation cut point is 2~ 5 microns, the treated fluids can be reused to prepare for new drilling fluids for drilling rig. If it is for final disposal process, we will use oil water separator or dewatering unit to separate it as little solids, oil and water. The water will be sent to waste water treatment facility, the oil be recovered, solids to TDU.

Decanter centrifuge, vertical cuttings dryer and screw conveyor are ready for shipment

Recently one batch of drilling waste management equipments are ready for shipment to our international clients, the equipments list including:
1) One unit of vertical cuttings dryer GNCD930, it can be widely used for treatment of drilling cuttings discharged from oil based mud (OBM) and synthetic based mud (SBM), the standard speed is 900rpm and G force is up to 420G, VFD drive is available for adjusting speed to maximize the vertical cuttings dryer performance. The cuttings dryer flights on the rotor is hard facing to HRC65 for longer working life. It equipped with individual oil lubrication system with automatic alarm for pressure limit. The main motor and oil pump motor is interlocked with each other to avoid the start of the main motor prior to the oil pump motor start.


2) Two units of VFD decanter centrifuge GNLW363D-VFD, the VFD control panel is a positive pressurized control panel with air conditioner for cooling, applicable for zone 1 and zone 2. VFD from Yaskawa, ABB or Siemens brand, PLC and touch screen are from Siemens and other famous brand. Circuit breakers and other components from Schneider or other brands.


3) Two units of fixed speed decanter centrifuge GNLW363D, we can provide different speed pulleys according to client’s requirement, the centrifuge bowl diameter is 14 inch, and the centrifuge bowl length is 50 inch, the treating capacity will varies according to different material and speed.
4) Five units of Germany Netzsch brand screw pump GNG20-055C
5) Five units of Germany Netzsch brand screw pump GNG30-075C

Except for Vegetable Oil Separation industry, the 3 phase disc stack separator can be also used for oil sludge separation unit with customized design according to material to be treated.
For oil sludge treatment system, we have option of 3 phase decanter centrifuge and 3 phase disc stack separator according to client’s requirement. The effective pre-treatment process should be done before centrifuge separation process, including pre-mixing tank ,coarse screening unit and 2 phase decanter centrifuge separation unit, which can reduce solids content effectively.
There are 4 models of 3 phase disc separator for option, GNSD-40, GNSD-90, GNSD-125, GNSD-225, it can be selected by required capacity. The 3 phase decanter centrifuge with a separation factor of approx. 3000G, and 3 phase disc stack separator G force is up to 12000G. The 3 phase disc separator can more thoroughly separate liquids with different specific gravity and the liquid phase discharged is more clarified. But the complicated operation of the 3 phase disc separator will limit its usage.

One batch of shale shaker and centrifugal pump ready for shipment

This week one batch of GNZS594J-SHBJ shale shaker and GNSB8×6C-13J centrifugal pumps are ready for shipment to India.
GNZS594J-SHBJ shale shaker with 4 panel of 585x1165mm composite material frame shaker screens. The vibration mode is linear motion, reference treating capacity is 140m3/h by API40 shaker screen, it is drived by 2ea 2.3HP Italy Oli brand vibration motor. The vibration G force is up to 7.5G and it is adjustable. The screen area is 2.73m2, and the deck angle adjustment range is from -1° to +5°. The shale shaker application including oil & gas drilling mud solids control, oil & gas drilling waste management, oil sludge treatment unit, HDD mud treatment, TBM slurry separation, construction slurry mud treatment, mining drilling mud treatment and other types of mud treatment.

The starter and vibration motor have different explosion proof standard for option: CNEX / ATEX / IECEx, standard ExdIIBT4. The shaker screens installed on the shale shaker is produced comply with API RP13C standard, with 3 layers of stainless steel 316L wire mesh and composite material frame for longer working life.
Fast disassembly design of sealing strip on shaker deck bottom, it is convenient to replace the sealing rubber, wear resistant polyurethane rubber strip with good sealing effect and longer working life. Also side fluids outlet plate and bottom fluids outlet plate is removable with sealing rubber.


8 units of GNSB8×6C-13J centrifugal pump (55KW) is used as transfer pump of the slurry, the electric control panel is installed on the skid to control the electric motor.The pump casing and impeller is made from hard ductile iron alloy to extend the working life, and all the spare parts are interchangeable with international famous brand centrifugal pump to outsource the spare parts easily.
