Solidification of wastes involves the production of a solid mass having sufficiently high structural integrity to allow transport and/or disposal of the solid without requiring secondary containment, i.e. mixing of sludge with shredded paper, sawdust, etc.

The working process including below:

 

1) The big waste collection hopper collects all the drill cuttings & drilling waste, which is conveyor to the mixing chamber by the underneath screw conveyor at pre-set capacity

2) Cement storage box is keeping cements powder, through the tubular screw conveyor, powders are sent to the mixer at pre-set capacity.

3) Absorber storage box is keeping reagent powder, through the tubular screw conveyor, powders are sent to the mixer at pre-set capacity.

4)There are 2ea 1.5inch liquid inlet, for water feeding, liquid chemical feeding, located beside the mixer inlet.

5)The high-shear mixer mixes all the material, and push to the front at the same time. When the solids go to the discharge port, it is already mixed sufficiently, then discharge

Extractor dryer

The EXTRACTOR Dryer are be designed to remove NADF from drill cuttings from the drilling mud shale shaker.  The dryer is with capable or will be reducing the oil on cuttings to < 3% and to an overall total of < 6.9% when the drilling waste centrifuge is taken into account. Excess fluid will be recycled and packed after centrifugation and returned to the drilling mud active system for reuse. The system is not suitable for the treatment of water based mud cuttings.

The EXTRACTOR Dryer contains of a horizontally configured conical screen installed within a balanced cage that is driving at high speed by the  electric motor through a Cyclo- Gear drive gearbox. Positioned of the equipment within the cage is a scroll that turns and transports the separated solids from the machine to obtain highest cuttings dryness. The conical basket contains a suitable screen specially designed to minimize screen binding. The dryer machine is attached to an isolated sub-frame which in turn is mounted on a rugged oilfield skid for transport.GN-Vertical-Cutting-dryer-300x291

The EXTRACTOR Dryer will receives drill cuttings from the Solids Control equipment (shale shaker) by screw conveyor or vacuum system or and/or solids pump.  Drill cuttings then be transported into the Centre of the feed cone and distributed evenly through feed holes by centrifugal action into the flighting channels between the scroll and of the screen. As the drill cuttings pass through of conical screen, the solids layer becomes thinner and exposed to progressively more G-force.

The very high gravitational force will allows the liquid portion of the feed to pass through the cake bed and screen when the cake bed itself is continuously turned and swept outward to be discharged at the outer diameter of the screen. The dried drill cuttings exit from the front of the machine where they are either discharged to the environment or collected for further handling and/or treatment.

5 Sets of Vertical Cuttings Dryer Went to Jobsite in Africa with CNPC

Recently, GN Solids Control, the first API certified Chinese solids control company, has delivered to CNPC 5 sets of vertical cuttings dryers, and those vertical cuttings dryers will go to work in Algeria in Africa together with the service projects with CNPC.DSC09216

GN Solids Control is the first China solids control company who designed the vertical cuttings dryer, and each year GN engineers improved the design of vertical cuttings dryer. Decanter Centrifuge Uses

The decanter centrifuge has a wide uses depending on different applications , it can be used for de – water hydrocyclone under flow , remove the drilling solids from active drilling mud , or revove colloidal solids particals in weighted drilling mud . The centrifuge can be used for unweighted drilling mud , while mud recycling again and again , the drilling mud will get heavier and heavier , then the heavier mud will be no good to reuse again .

 

There are different design of decanter centrifuge , according to separation size , there will be designed profor G force to reach separation point . G Force is a very important parameter for centrifuge application , while the G force get higher , the separation factor will get higher but will need higher standard to keep sure centrifuge screw and bowl to be suiltable of the G force . For a same decanter centrifuge , the higher G force will increase mud flow treatment capacity also . However , the increasing G force eventually reduces solids conveyance capacity due to torque limitation . The solids dryness from decanter centrifuge can be adjustable by adjust fluids outlet height plate . The dryness is commonly considered as a direct indication of a centrifuge performance , but the test results has shown that the dryness of solids from centrifuge is more correctly as a fuction of partical size . The pond depth will control both fluids residence and cake dryness .If you increased pond depth , the residence time will increase separation and separation performance will be better . Any how this will be depending on the drilling condition and fix a suitable depth .

Corrugated-shaped shale shaker screen advantage

Shale shaker screen is the essential part in filter solids from liquid, and it is disposable part in various drilling that need to replace all the time.

Because of the drilling fluid that contains corrosion, abrasiveness and heat,it needed to filter solid particles for long period time.  Generally speaking, the material of shaker screens are all constructed in stainless steel and the wire which disposed by heat treatment technology. The auxiliary support structure is made of steel plate, galvanized sheet, and others combined materials.

With the continuous development of science and technology, in order to enhancing the filter effect of screen, the corrugated- shape screen was developed. It is improved and upgraded from flat type screen, started to be implied in the mid-1990s.

 

Corrugated- shape screen synthesize the advantage of common crochet screen and orifice plate adhesion screen, but it is based on the structure size of shale shaker will not be changed, and the frequency and exciting force of vibration exciter will not be changed as well.

 

The advantage of the corrugated- shape shale shaker screen is that it breaks the limitation of traditional plate screen, because of the unique wave pattern of screen, it is not only has the service life increase and as well as filter effect of orifice plate adhesion screen by increase the filter area of screen more.

 

When the drilling fluid flow to the screen surface, the solid phase will flow to valley bottom of corrugation, vertical surface can provide more filter area for drilling fluid, so compared with flat surface screen, the wave screen has through capacity. The thruput is larger 30%~40% than orifice plate adhesion screen and other flat surface screens. And diamond screen increases the residence time of drilling fluid on the screen surface, has a better sieving effect.
