This week 10 units of VFD decanter centrifuge are shipped to our clients in Middle East, they are IEC EX certified for high configuration. With customized painting color, the centrifuge are also equipped with vibration sensor and temperature sensor to measure the operation temperature increasement and vibration during working.

We have fixed speed decanter centrifuge and variable speed decanter centrifuge for option for different purpose. The centrifuge bowl assy is the most important components for a decanter centrifuge. GN centrifuge bowl material is duplex stainless steel 2304 and the other part is made of SS316. The screw is made of SS304 material by heating treatment up to 1000 degree, the propeller is protected by tungsten carbide tiles, it is repairable, the fluids distribution port and solids discharge port is protected by tungsten carbide alloy for better wear resistance.
The decanter centrifuge, VFD control panel and feeding pump are installed on a telescopic skid for convenient transportation and operation.

This week GN solids control participate in CIPPE 2019 successfully. We got positive feedback from our client for the oil sludge treatment system and pitless solution for oil & gas drilling.

The pitless solution also called zero discharge system for drilling rig, it includes water based mud and oil based mud, the design is very different. For water based mud pitless system, the main equipments are screw conveyor, high G drying shaker, VFD decanter centrifuge, dewatering unit and solidification unit.
The oil based mud drilling waste management system , the major equipments are screw conveyor or vacuum pump, vertical cuttings dryer, VFD decanter centrifuge, we have standard design drilling waste management system for option, with treating capacity 40 m3/h. As per the new environmental protection laws, it is forbidden to dig a hole for storage of the waste drilling fluids and oil waste at the drilling rig site. It is a pollution of ground water and earth, and hard to treat the waste after drilling is finished, you need to waste more money and more time. The better way is to treat the drilling waste timely by using pitless system.
The useful drilling fluids can be recycled to prepare for new drilling fluids, the discharged solids can be used for landfill or construction industry when it meets the disposal standard of the specific country.

This week we shipped several units of tandem shale shaker to Middle East for oil service company. The shale shaker is linear motion single deck 4 panel shale shaker, the 2 units of shale shaker installed on one tandem skid for convenient transportation and installed on the solids control system.

The complete unit of the tandem shale shaker is up to 1200gpm for WBM, OBM, SOBM, the actual treating capacity will depend on the density& viscosity of the drilling fluids and API mesh size used. GN solids control produce composite material shaker screens from API 20 to API 325, GN brand shaker screens are all compliant with API RP13C standard.
The shale shaker features are as below:
1) 4 panel shaker screens with composite material frame for longer working life, dimension as 585x1165mm
2) The shaker deck material is stainless steel 304 for better corrosion resistance
3) Patent rubber sealing on the shaker deck for better sealing

Recently GN shipped one batch of hydraulic drive decanter centrifuges with feeding pumps and 80 units of centrifugal pumps to Middle East, The feeding pump is Netzsch brand screw pump, this is the popular and ideal equipments to feed decanter centrifuge.
We have electric drived decanter centrifuge and full hydraulic drive decanter centrifuge for different client’s requirement, especially for heavy drilling fluids, hydraulic drive centrifuge will be a good option. This week GN solids control shipped containerized drilling waste treatment system to Russia again, this is not the first time we designed customized drilling waste management system for Russia drilling company, we set our standard drilling waste management equipments inside the standard 40ft container to keep them warm during operation in Winter, this is special for Russia area where the temperature in Winter is extremely low.

The decanter centrifuge and vertical cuttings dryer is installed on the frame which is fixed with the 40ft container, the container with windows, doors and the top cover is openable for convenient maintenance and screen basket replacement of the vertical cuttings dryer. And inside the container walls are protected by special material to keep it warm in Winter.

1) The rotor is one of the major components for the vertical cuttings dryer, the rotor assembly is balanced, and the flights on the rotor is also individual balanced, then their complete set is also balanced for future replacement of the rotor assy.
The flights material is hard facing to HRC65 for longer working life.
2) The screen basket is also the major components, and it is also individual balanced for the screen and the frame, the user can only replace the screen basket without remove the frame when it is damaged or blocking.

Last week we have a trial centrifuge for Aluminum Hydroxide Slurry Separation for our client, the client express their samples by international courier. We prepare for the decanter centrifuge installed on a mud tank with Netzsch brand screw pump as feeding pump, and prepare the dilution Aluminum hydroxide fluids by another mud tank with a mud agitator installed on it. The agitator keeps agitating the fluids to prevent it from deposition. The VFD control panel is power on and set the bowl speed and differential speed, also adjust the feeding pump motor frequency to control the flow rate. At the beginning the flow rate should be at lower level, once the centrifuge working steadily and the solids discharged from the centrifuge discharge port, the flow rate could be increased.

The trial centrifuge model is GNLW224D-VFD with single motor, the main motor power is 11kw, GNLW224E-VFD decanter centrifuge is an ideal option for waste water treatment, with both main motor and back drive motor, it is easier to adjust the differential speed, the smallest differential speed is 1 rpm, it can ensure the separation performance to get clear water and drier solids. And the cone drum angle is customized for different material treatment to get better result.

Centrifugal pump is one of the mud transfer pump produced by GN solids control, all the parts and installation dimension is interchangeable with world famous brand centrifugal pump. The centrifugal pump is widely used to transfer the drilling fluids, drilling waste, animal waste, oil contaminated sludge, dredging slurry, also it can be used as mixing pump, super charging pump.

Screw pump is the ideal feeding pump of the decanter centrifuge, based on the material to be transferred, we will choose different fluids touch parts for the users. We use Germany made Netzsch brand screw pump to promise the reliable performance.

Except for centrifugal pump, the mud transfer pump also includes screw pump, submersible slurry pump, sludge vacuum pump.

The sludge vacuum pump is 100% air operation pump, and do not need the electricity power, it is convenient for the jobsite where the electricity supply is limited. The air compressor is required for the vacuum pump air supply, if required by the client, we can supply the air compressor suitable for the vacuum pump and design the skid mounted package for convenient movement. Below is drilling waste treatment system made by GN solids control working at CNPC jobsite for oil based drilling cuttings treatment. The purpose to use drilling waste treatment system is to recycle the useful drilling fluids to prepare for new drilling fluids, and reduce the drilling waste to lower the influence for the environment, and lower the waste disposal cost for the client. GN made drilling waste management system has been widely used to treat the oil based drilling waste to many countries in the world.

The technical configuration is as below:
1) Vertical G dryer to separate coarse solids and the fluids will flow to the buffer tank for further treatment, the discharged solids is dry enough to be transported by the truck or for disposal directly. The discharged cuttings are as the photo below. The oil on the cuttings is below 5%, it can meet the regulation for most countries, when the client need oil on the cuttings below 1%, they can use Thermal desorption unit. The drilling waste management system can help the user to save energy before using the TDU, and increase the treatment capacity of the TDU.

2) The screw pump feed the fluids from buffer tank to 14 inch VFD decanter centrifuge to separate more fine solids from the fluids, so the final clean fluids can be reused to prepare for new fluids. The discharged solids is as the photo below.

3) The mud tank with roof for sun proof, rain proof. The centrifuge is installed on the mud tank for storage of the fluids, the screw pump of the centrifuge is also installed on the skid of the mud tank.
