GN solid control showed our decanter centrifuge at 2023 NEFTEGAZ Russia Oil Exhibition. Neftegaz and National Oil and Gas Forum the major event of the fuel and energy sector. Neftegaz is Russia’s largest trade show for the oil and gas industry. It ranks in the top ten of the world’s petroleum shows. Supported by the Russian Ministry of Energy, Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Russian Gas Society, Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia. Every year GN solids control will participate in NEFTEGAZ exhibition, to show our lastest technology. This year total 573 companies participate in the exhibition, total visitors over 22820, and total hall area over 35000 square meters.

GN Industrial decanter centrifuge
GN can produce different diameter, different bowl length, different beach angle decanter centrifuge, including 9 inch bowl, 14 inch bowl, 18 inch bowl, 22 inch bowl, 30 inch bowl, for industrial waste water treatment.

GN Solilds transfer pump
The solids vacuum pump is an ideal equipment to transfer the slurry with high density, high viscosity, and suitable for long distance transfer, it is normally used to transfer the oil sludge from waste pit or suction directly from oil tank bottom to oil sludge treatment system.

A coarse solids separation shaker is applied before oil sludge decanter centrifuge, the function is to remove coarse solids, reduce solids content, and ensure the feeding fluids to decanter centrifuge meet the feeding requirement, and not damage/ block the decanter centrifuge.

Big bowl high volume dewatering centrifuge for dredging slurry separation

GNLW764A-VFD decanter centrifuge is a big bowl high volume decanter centrifuge produced by GN, it can be widely used for dredging slurry separation, TBM slurry separation and other type waste water treatment as dewatering centrifuge, which required a higher treating capacity in the project.


The technical specification of the big bowl dewatering centrifuge is as below:
The bowl diameter is 30 inch, the bowl length is 131 inch, and max designed speed and max G force is 2650rpm and 3000G. The designed water treating capacity is up to 1254gpm, adding with chemical additives, the dewatering capacity is up to 50m3/h.

The bowl and screw core shaft are made of duplex stainless steel SS2205 or SS2304 by centrifugal casting, the major components are made of by centrifugal casting and die forging process to avoid intergranular corrosion and incomplete residual stress release caused by traditional welding process. The solids outlet and fluids outlet port is protected by replaceable hard alloy sleeve. The liquid outlet weir height is adjustable according to different working conditions, if you need to improve the treating capacity, then the solids dryness will be reduced, and fluids clean will be reduced. If you want to keep the discharged solids dryness, water clean, just adjust the weight height plate with a balance according to your requirement. The bearing lubrication system of thin oil circulating oil station is applied for the big bowl decanter centrifuge, for heavy load and high speed operation, the good oil lubrication system with good cleaning and cooling functions could improve the service life of SKF brand bearings obviously.


The VFD control panel adopted with the dewatering centrifuge is with stainless steel material cabinet, PLC smart control and touch screen from Siemens or other famous brand, world famous brand VFD for main motor, back motor and feeding pump motor.

Automatic tank cleaning system manufacturer in China

The tank cleaning system consists of tank cleaning machine and the tank cleaning sludge treatment system.
The tank cleaning machine is developed for cleaning tanks in hazardous areas, which provide better cleaning efficiency with minimal use of time, energy and cleaning media.
The tank cleaning machine consists of two main part, one is washing unit, the other one is portable air driven unit. The typical application of the tank cleaning machine will be for crude oil storage tanks, large process vessels and fermenters, large silos and dryers, large reactor, large uni-tanks.


The working principal is as below:
The cleaning media flows through the machine to the nozzle and out of the tank, with high pressure jetting to the tank. This jetting cleaning will create a criss crossed pattern on the tank walls, covering 360° of the tank. The first cycle will create a wide pattern, Pre Wash, on the tank walls, the following cycles will dense the pattern until a full program is reached after 4 cycles.


After cleaning, the sludge will be treated by automatic tank cleaning system, it is a continuous process with waste water cleaning capacity up to 30m3/h, the treated water can be back to high pressure tank cleaning machine for tank cleaning reuse. The process will minimize the consumption of water and manpower involved.
The tank cleaning system can be designed as a skid mounted system or divided into 3 modules according to the job site layout, the explosion proof standard could be as CNEX zone 1 application, ATEX or IEC EX for different applications. The automatic tank cleaning system including strainer, suction pump, chemical dosing unit, static mixer, electric control system, inclined plate clarifier, membrane pump, etc. If you need a tank cleaning unit for onshore or offshore project, pls contact with GN solids control.

3 phase separation centrifuge package

We can use both 3 phase decanter centrifuge package and 3 phase disc separator package for oil sludge treatment, the pre-treatment equipment for both of them are shale shaker for primary screening of coarse solids. We will select proper 3 phase separation package according to client’s requirement and oil sludge conditions.


The comparison of 3 phase disc separator and 3 phase decanter centrifuge is as below:
The max G force of 3 phase disc separator is up to 12000G, but for 3 phase decanter centrifuge is up to 3000G.
The 3 phase disc separator will be used after 2 phase decanter centrifuge or 3 phase decanter centrifuge. The treatment result for oil on solids , water in oil, oil in water is in high level.


The 3 phase decanter centrifuge can be used separately after primary screening of coarse solids, if the budget is limited, and the treatment result of oil on solids, water in oil, oil in water is not high.
The operation of 3 phase disc separator is complicated and need cleaning frequently, but operation of 3 phase decanter centrifuge is more simple with automatic cleaning. So if the user need to get high quality oil and water, and no limit for the investment, 3 phase disc separator package is proper option. If the investment is low and less quality oil water is required, we will select 3 phase decanter centrifuge package.

Closed loop processing system manufacturer

All the GN solids control produced equipments can be integrated into system designed for specific applications, such as drilling fluids processing system, dewatering system, drilling cuttings treatment system, and other waste management system. The closed loop processing system can be used for both onshore drilling and offshore installations, remote area, processing plants, in-plant installations, and the site remediation projects. The equipments used for closed loop processing system including primary shale shaker, desander, desilter, mud cleaner, decanter centrifuge, feeding pump, mud agitator, mud tank, vertical cuttings dryer, high G drying shaker, screw conveyor, waste centrifuge, etc.


Firstly the used drilling fluids flow to primary shale shaker to separate the drilling cuttings out and collected by screw conveyor, which will be transferred to vertical cuttings dryer or high G drying shaker, for solids separation and coarse solids separation, the fluids drop into the intermediate tank and the screw pump will feed the fluids to decanter centrifuge or dewatering centrifuge for fine solids separation, the treated water will be transfer back to solids control system.


The decanter centrifuge can be used to treat both water based mud drilling waste and oil based drilling cuttings treatment, after treated by vertical cuttings dryer and high G drying shaker, the fluids mixture can be treated by decanter centrifuge. The treated water can be reused to prepare for new drilling fluids, the solids can be collected for landfill or for other treatment, then the system is operation as a closed loop processing system. If treated by dewatering centrifuge by adding chemicals additives, the discharged water can be sent to waste water treatment facility for final disposal, and the discharged solids will be sent to thermal desorption unit for further treatment for final disposal.

Decanter centrifuge process parameters adjustment

As one of the decanter centrifuge manufacturer in China, GN solids control provide complete pre sales and after sales support to our customer. When use a decanter centrifuge, it is important to adjust the parameters during process to reach your required treatment result. And when the decanter centrifuge is used for different applications, its parameter adjustment is different.


In actual operation, the mud quality and amount of sludge may change. To ensure the dehydration effect remains same, the user can reasonably select relevant parameters of the decanter centrifuge based on factors such as the material properties of the suspension, the requirements for liquid and solid phases after separation, and processing capacity, such as processing capacity, bowl rotation speed, differential speed between bowl and screw, and overflow plate diameter, to achieve expected separation result.
When the feed rate remains same, the greater of the differential speed, the shorter time that the sludge stays in the centrifuge bowl . Due to the increased relative movement between the bowl and the screw, the solid recovery rate of dehydration and the solid content of the sludge cake will both decrease, but the processing capacity of the centrifuge will increase.
The smaller of the differential speed, the longer time the sludge stays in the bowl. Due to the reduced relative movement between the bowl and the screw, the solid recovery rate will decrease and the treatment capacity will decrease. The differential speed should not be too small, which may lead to solids accumulation inside the bowl and excessive torque which can damage the centrifuge. The differential speed is normally determined based on the solid content of the material.
The user can adjust the centrifuge feeding pump feed rate and adjust the differential speed by the positive pressurized VFD control panel through PLC touch screen, there are main motor, back drive motor and pump motor VFD installed inside the panel.

Oil water separator and oil water separation centrifuge

The oil water separator is a device to remove free non emulsified oil, diesel, gasoline and fuels from a waste stream by using coalescing media. A disc centrifuge ( also known as disc separator) is a 3 phase centrifuge to separate oil and water. Also the 3 phase decanter centrifuge is also widely used as oil, water and solids separation.


Their function is similar to separate oil and water, but working principal is different also the structure is different.
GN oil water separator (short as OWS) with high capacity and easy operation, the disadvantage is that the treatment result can not meet the strict requirement, the main components including OWS main body, coalescing media, cover support beam, openable top cover, oil discharge pipe, feed port, oil outlet, water outlet, sludge discharge. The working principal is that the influent water enters the oil water separator and flows through a tightly stacked bunble of coalescing media. Due to the different gravity, oil decants by gravity into a oil reservoir, the solids slide down the surface of the media, oil free clean water under an oil reservoir baffle to a clean water effluent chamber.

The 3 phase disc separator is design for light liquid, heavy liquid and solids separation, the working principal is by centrifugal force, with the neutral holes of the disc as the interface, the heavy liquid moves along the disc wall towards the outside the neutral hole, the lighter liquid moves along the disc wall into the neutral hole, the heavy solids accumulated in the sediment area, the light liquid and heavy liquid are discharged by the centrifugal pump and the heavy solids is discharged.
The 3 phase decanter centrifuge working principal is also by centrifugal force for the 3 materials with different gravity, especially for oil, water and solids separation.

Oil & Gas Drilling Solids Treatment System

The oil and gas drilling solids treatment system is a solidification or stabilization process of the drilling cuttings/ low gravity solids (including sand, silt, clays). The solids after solidification process will be relatively safe to disposal or landfill and hazardous material will not penetrate into the ground to pollute the water source. The solids discharged from decanter centrifuge is mainly ultra fine solids and can not be separated mechanically again, the economic way is to add chemical additives to prevent the hazardous waste from penetration.


The working principal is as below:
The drilling cuttings are dumped into the collection hopper and transfer to mixing chamber by bottom screw conveyor. At the same time, the lime and absorber are transferred by screw conveyor to the mixing chamber, and mixed by the high shear mixer inside the mixing chamber. The mixed solids are discharged from the discharge port, waste bag can be layed at the bottom of the mixing chamber outlet for convenient collection.
GN solidification unit is designed to suit for container shipment for convenient transportation and reduce transportation cost. The moisture content in the drilling cuttings before treatment will influence the performance of solidification unit and influence the consumption of lime and absorber, which is related to the operation cost. If the drilling cuttings is too wet, the user will need to use more lime and absorber, and the working cost of the solidification unit will be too high. The additives can be replaced to others type equivalent as required.
To reduce the moisture of the drilling cuttings, GN solids control also produce high G drying shaker dewatering centrifuge with chemical dosing unit for water based mud drilling cuttings cleaning. GN ViST vacuum screen technology can be applied with the primary shale shaker to reduce the waste volume and reduce moisture.
