Oil sludge treatment decanter centrifuge to Brunei

The decanter centrifuge for oil sludge treatment system produced by GN solids control is shipped to Brunei recently. For different treating capacity requirement, we have different models for option.
GNLW224EP-VFD decanter centrifuge is used for 1m3/h oil sludge separation system, GNLW363C-VFD decanter centrifuge is used for 5 m3/h oil sludge separation system, GNLW553C-VFD decanter centrifuge is used for 15 m3/h oil sludge separation system.

The working process is as below:
The vacuum pump pick up the oil sludge from the waste pit to pre-mixing tank, the chemical or water or diesel oil will be added in this process and the mud agitator is agitating to mix them evenly, the submersible slurry pump will transfer the oil sludge to shale shaker to separate the coarse solids from the oil sludge, then the fluids will drop down into the mud tank, the screw pump will transfer the fluids to decanter centrifuge, by adding proper chemicals to improve the separation performance. The fluids from decanter centrifuge will drop into the buffer tank, then flow to vertical centrifuge to separate oil and water. The oil and water will be recovered into storage tank.


The features of GN decanter centrifuge:
1) Centrifuge bowl is made of duplex stainless steel 2205 for longer working life.
2) The bearing is SKF bearing for stable working
3) The screw is made of stainless steel by heat treatment, the opening screw propeller to increase the treating capacity and improve the separation performance
4) The collection box is made of SS304 for better corrosion resistance.
5) The screw propeller is protected by tungsten carbide tiles, the solids discharge port and fluids distribution port is protected by tungsten carbide alloy. All of these protection is replaceable when damaged.

Vacuum degasser and mud cleaner manufacturer in China

As one of the most professional manufacturer of solids control equipments in China, GN solids control recently shipped one batch of vacuum degasser and mud cleaner to Middle East for oil & gas drilling rig solids control system.


We have 2 models of horizontal vacuum degasser, GNZCQ270B & GNZCQ360B, with treating capacity 270m3/h and 360 m3/h. The technical specification is as below:

If there is no enough space to install horizontal vacuum degasser, we also have option of vertically installed centrifugal degasser with treating capacity of 300 m3/h. It is with big capacity, high rate of degassing, smaller footprint, less energy consumption, easy operation and maintenance.


The mud cleaner is desander cone, desilter cone, bottom shale shaker 3 in 1. We can also provide customized design for the combination of hydrocyclones and bottom shale shaker, like desander cone + bottom shaker or desilter cone + bottom shale shaker, desilter cone + double deck shale shaker, desander cone + double deck bottom shale shaker for different applications. Compare with separate desander and desilter without bottom shale shaker, the mud cleaner with smaller footprint and better separation performance, the user can get more drilling fluids and much drier discharged solids.
For the bottom shale shaker option, we have 3 panel shale shaker, 4 panel shale shaker , 2 panel shale shaker, double deck shale shaker and tandem shale shaker to meet different requirement. All the shaker screens are with composite material frame which is produced by GN own screen workshop. We can produce shaker screens from API 20 to API 300 and our shaker screens are produced comply with API RP13C.

TBM Slurry Separation Unit updated design

GN new released design of TBM slurry separation unit including :
GNTBM-240M, treating capacity 240 m3/h;
GNTBM-360M, treating capacity 360 m3/h;
GNTBM-500M, treating capacity 500 m3/h;
GNTBM-1000M, treaing capacity 1000 m3/h.


Take GNTBM-240M TBM slurry separation unit as example, the technical specification as below:
1) Coarse solids shaker to separate big solids from the slurry, the separated slurry will drop into the bottom mud tank.
2) #1 centrifugal pump will transfer the slurry to desander cone, the cut point is 45 microns, after treatment, the fluids will drop into the mud tank. The separated solids will be drying by the top layer screen firstly and then drop to the bottom layer screen for drying again, so that more useful fluids will be collected and the discharged solids is much drier for easier disposal. The centrifugal pump is 100% interchangeable with famous brand centrifugal pump parts, and the pump casing, impeller are both made of hard ductile iron alloy.


3) #2 centrifugal pump transfer the fluids to desilter cone, the cleaner fluids will drop into the mud tank again for reuse by the TBM machine, the discharged solids will be drying again by the double deck shale shaker or single deck bottom shale shaker. All of the shaker screens are composite material frame shaker screen with longer working life and larger effective screen area, which is made by GN solids factory.


4) Because of space limit at the jobsite and for convenient movement, we design the TBM slurry separation unit in very compact design. To get more clear water, the client can use dewatering centrifuge in the next process by working with chemical dosing system. GN can provide different treating capacity dewatering centrifuge based on client’s requirement.

Solids Vacuum Pump for offshore drilling

GN brand solids vacuum pump has been widely used to transfer different materials in different industry, like mud tank cleaning, crude oil tank bottom cleaning oil sludge, drilling cuttings for both onshore and offshore drilling platform, drilling waste, oil contaminated soil, sand, dredging slurry, industrial waste slurry, etc, it also can be used to clean the cabin, tank top and other drilling site area with the small model vacuum cleaner unit.


GN solids vacuum pump have 3 models for your option GNSP-40B with 40m3/h, GNSP-20B with 20m3/h, GNSP-10B with 10m3/h. The small size pump allowed solids size is max 50mm, max suction distance is 50m, max discharge distance is up to 500m, the max solids content is 80%; The Air Demand is 8m3/min (280 CFM).
The bigger size GNSP-40B pump with max allowed solids size is 75mm, max suction distance is 50m, the max discharge distance is 1000m, the max solids content allowed is 80%. Air demand is 17m3/min (600CFM).
The user should provide an air compressor for air supply to the vacuum pump, it is a 100% air operated pump, it is suitable for offshore drilling platform because electricity power is limited there. Compared with screw conveyor transfer system, vacuum pump can transfer much more long distance, no power consumption, less maintenance cost and spare parts cost, less cost, less space requirement, offshore drilling platform is normally with limit space, screw conveyor transfer system is hardly to be installed there, then several units of solids vacuum pump unit can be installed easily.

The oil sludge treatment unit is used widely for Crude Oil tank cleaning sludge, Refinery plant waste oil sludge, Drilling waste oil sludge.
The working process is as below:


The sludge vacuum pump pick up the oil sludge from the waste pit to pre-mixing tank, ( for the compact unit with 1 m3/h capacity, the user dump the material to the pre-mixing tank directly by folk lift or crane ), the oil sludge is heating up to 60℃ to increase the flowability and make it easily to separate in the next process. The transfer pump will transfer the oil sludge to shale shaker to separate the coarse solids, the fluids dropped into the second tank which also equipped with heating lines inside, the decanter centrifuge feeding pump feed the fluids to decanter centrifuge to separate fine solids, the fluids flow to buffer tank, then flow to disc centrifuge to recover oil and water, the water and oil are storage into 2 box separately.

Several sets of Mud Cleaning System shipped to North America

Recently GN solids control shipped several sets of mud cleaning system to North America for vacuum truck slurry treatment project, it can be used not only for vacuum truck slurry treatment project, but also for dredging slurry separation, mining tailings treatment, construction waste treatment, drilling mud cleaning, drilling waste treatment system, etc. projects.
The technical specification is as below:


Part 1: waste slurry collection hopper from vacuum truck to storage the slurry temporarily, there are 2 discharge port in the bottom of the hopper, so that the slurry can be fed to the 2 units of double deck shale shaker directly.


Part 2: mud treatment tank for coarse solids separation, including 2 units of double deck shale shaker, 1 unit of mud agitator, 1 unit of mud tank with pipelines, tank accessories.
Part 3: mud treatment tank for fine solids separation, including 1 unit of linear motion shale shaker, 1 unit of submersible slurry pump, 1 unit of mud cleaner, 1 unit of mud tank with pipelines, accessories, electric control system


Part 4: dewatering centrifuge package with chemical dosing system, centrifuge feeding pump, 1 unit of mud tank. To match with the treating capacity of the mud cleaning system, the dewatering centrifuge should be a big bowl decanter centrifuge, when used the chemicals or flocculants, the centrifuge treating capacity will be reduced a lot. The max centrifuge model we have is GNLW764A-VFD, the bowl diameter is 30 inch (760mm), the bowl length is 3328mm, the ratio of bowl length/ bowl diameter is 4.4 for better treatment performance. The max bowl speed is 2650rpm, the working speed is 0 ~2200 rpm, the max G force is 3000G, the normal G force is 0~2060G, with mechanical separation cut point is 2~5 microns, when working with chemical dosing system, the cut point is up to 1 microns.

GN dewatering centrifuge with chemical dosing system used for TBM project

One set of GN dewatering centrifuge with chemical dosing system is used for TBM project for Southeast Asia clients. The purpose to use dewatering centrifuge system is to reduce the ultra fine solids of the mud, to get drier solids and clear water, the water can be re-used or sent to final water treatment system for disposal. It will save water consumption for the client so that the cost is saved, and meet the environmental regulation in the user’s country.


The configuration is as below:
1 set of high speed decanter centrifuge with 1 set of 20ft container, as one of the most professional decanter centrifuge manufacturer in China, GN solids control can produce different size bowl decanter centrifuge with different treating capacity, from 9 inch to 30 inch, the bowl length/diameter ratio has option with 3 and 4 for different applications. Based on special projects, we will design customized centrifuge to meet client’s requirement.

The high speed decanter centrifuge mechanical separation cut point is 2~5 microns, when adding chemicals ( flocculants agent), the ultra fine solids ( below 1 microns) in the mud can be separated out and the centrifuge separation performance will be increased, so that the user can get more clear water and dries discharged solids from the decanter centrifuge.


One set of chemical dosing system installed into a 20 ft container, with 3 stainless steel material compartment with hopper, agitator, chemical dosing pump, pipeline system and brackets, all of them are controlled by PLC control panel.

Shale shaker technical specification:


1) GN solids control has different models with different treating capacity for option, we have 2 panel shale shaker, 3 panel shale shaker, 4 panel shale shaker and double deck shale shaker, all of the shale shaker installed with composite material frame shaker screens, the total screen effective area with different treating capacity.
2) Normally we produce linear motion shale shaker, if required by client, we will make dual motion shale shaker, which with linear motion and progressive elliptical motion shale shaker.


3) The shaker deck is made of carbon steel material, and the deck bottom is made of stainless steel 304 material for better strength, better abrasion resistance, this component is fluids touch part. For special requirement, we can also make the whole shaker deck with vibration beam with stainless steel material, the mounting skid is made by high grade structure steel.
When install the desander, desilter frame on top of the shale shaker, the 3 in 1 combination unit will be called as mud cleaner. With different qty desander cone and desilter cone, the treating capacity is different. We have 500gpm, 1000gpm, 1500gpm treating capacity for option.
4) The shale shaker and mud cleaner adopted with same dimension shaker screens, which are also interhchangeable with world’s famous brand shale shaker. Except for OEM screens, we also produce replacement shaker screens for other brand shale shaker.

Water based drilling cuttings treatment and disposal system

Recently GN shipped one set of water based drilling cuttings disposal system to Africa, firstly the client use water based drilling cuttings treatment system to treat the drilling waste firstly, to reduce the moisture of the discharged cuttings as much as possible, so the user can use less lime and absorber material and save the cost to reach better solidification result. The working principal of the cuttings solidification unit is to use lime and absorber to mix the drilling cuttings and prevent the waste from leakage to the environment, and safe for landfill and other construction works.
The solidification unit configuration is as below:


Installed one 2 separate skid for flexible operation, one skid is drilling cuttings collection hopper to receive the water based drilling cuttings and transferred by screw conveyor to solidification mixing skid; the other skid is solidification mixing unit including lime storage box, absorber storage box, with 2 auger to transfer the material to high shear mixer, the materials are mixed by high shear mixer and transfer to the solids discharged port, the hazardous waste are locked into the discharged solids, so that it can be safe to the environment.


High G drying shaker is a 4 panel screen shale shaker, the shaker screens installed is composite material frame shaker screens, 2 nos of 1.94KW vibration motor provide high G force up to 8.0G, the hopper type buffer box to receive the drilling cuttings from the auger discharge port.
VFD decanter centrifuge to separate the fine solids from the drilling waste, if necessary, flocculants should be added to increase the separation performance, the fluids will be more clear, and the discharged solids is much drier. The max speed is up to 3900rpm, max G force is 3063G, the typical speed is 3200rpm, the typical G force is 2062G.

Three phase separator manufacturer in China

Three phase separator produced by GN solids control is used to separate the oil from water for refinery oil sludge separation project. There are 2 options for the 3 phase separation unit, one is to use three phase decanter centrifuge, the other option is GN standard 3 phase separation package.


Three phase separation package is consist of 2 phase decanter centrifuge and feed by screw pump, buffer tank to receive the discharged fluids and to be transferred by diaphragm pump or slowly flow to disc centrifuge for oil and water separation, the oil is recovered and back to the client, the water will be collected and re-used in the circulation system. By using proper demulsifier, the recovered oil can reach to BS &W below 3%. The water to be collected with oil content 500 ~ 1000ppm.


The 2 phase separation decanter centrifuge with VFD control panel is used to separate the ultra fine solids up to 2 microns. The max speed is 3900rpm and the normal working speed is 3200rpm, the max G force is up to 3063G and typical G force is up to 2062G, if necessary, the used can add proper chemicals to accumulate the ultra fine solids for easier separation by gravity difference. The disc centrifuge can provide high G force to separate the oil from water after discharges by decanter centrifuge.
Another option is oil water separator, the separation result is not as good as disc centrifuge, but the capacity is much bigger and the price is cheaper. The 3 phase separation package can be used for most type of oil sludge waste treatment, like Crude Oil storage tank cleaning sludge, Refinery plant waste oil sludge, Drilling waste oil sludge.
